BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® otherwise known as BWRT® is an exciting new model of psychotherapy and psychology which is rapidly growing around the world.

I use BWRT® in my practice discerningly to treat trauma memories associated with PTSD, complicated grief, as well as phobias.

In essence, BWRT® creates a different neural pathway response, that is a different mental response, before you react to something. The subconscious brain is activated in this process and an unhelpful emotion or feeling is frozen before you can react allowing a new preferable response to be activated. This new model of psychotherapy and psychology is grounded in neuroscience.

The difference with this psychological therapeutic intervention is you don’t need to tell me in any depth about what has happened in order for the issue to be worked through effectively. Most people report a significant decrease in distress immediately after the session. However, like any way of working, whilst the outcome for this therapy is good if not excellent, not every modality works for every person and there can be a number of reasons for that.

I have trained in this psychological therapeutic intervention at level 1 general psychopathology and am a registered practitioner in BWRT®.

BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a modern model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

It uses a totally logical, practical and down-to-earth working method in which it’s not necessary for you to talk about anything you would rather not discuss – the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is unlike any other therapy you might have heard of or read about, using the latest discoveries in neuroscience coupled with your own unique brain processes to help you get better. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.
